Dear all,
Hari Om !
I fell in love with Govinda Damodara Stotram as soon as I heard it sung by Swami Adhyatamananda ji in his cassette “Hari Bol”. I determined then and there, that I have to learn the entire Govinda Damodara Stotram. Particularly, I used to utter one verse from this stotra, whenever I feel I am losing the grip from the hands of the Lord and falling into the worldly quagmire, which goes like this:
samsāra kūpe patitotyagādhe
mohāmdha pūrne visayābbitapte
karāvalambam mama dehi visno
govinda dāmodara mādhaveti ..
In my recent trip to India, I have tried a lot to get the sanskrit text of this beautiful stotram. But unfortunately, I could not get the text. In ISCKON, Hyderabad, I got an audio CD of Govinda Damodara Stotra, sung by one of their followers. It is so beautiful. It also has english meanings. I have been thinking of making the sanskrit text available for myself to learn, and also for anyone interested. Finally, I could get this work done.
Govinda Damodara Stotram is composed by the beloved of Krishna, Sri Bilva Mangala Thakura Dasa, also called as LeelaSuka Dasa.
The online page of Govinda Damodara Stotram is here
To download the text, you can go to the DOWLOADS section and download it.
If possible, please buy the cassette or CD – “Hari Bol” by Swami Adhyatmananda ji. It is a must in your devotional collection. Also, please download the text and be highly benefitted.
Yours, in Service of the Lord,
Aparna Hari
