Manava Seva

Manava Seva is Madhava Seva - The Service of Humanity is the Service to the Lord. Gurudev Swami Sivananda ji was a born humanitarian, philanthropist and a true Karma Yogi. In all his life, his teachings, and writings, he exalted “Selfless Service” to a very high level, and made it an integral part of one’s Sadhana and Spiritual pursuit. He did not appreciate dry vedanta and mere philosophy-talking without any involvement of the hand and the heart. Swamiji always gave the best of everything he had to others - be it a fruit, a sweetmeat, a cup of milk. His entire life is a dedication to the service of others.

Each act of selfless service purifies our impure minds and make us better, one step nearer towards God than before. All we need to do is make the service “selfless” and without pride or the doership.

In Gurudev Swami Sivananda’s words:
Never, never say: “I have helped that man.” Feel and think: “That man gave me an opportunity to serve. This piece of service has helped me to purify the mind. I am extremely grateful to him.”

In this Page, we will present some Seva opportunities, where you can financially help those who are in need, and who can benefit immensely even from a small contribution from you. These are the people who are in need, and with whom we have spoken personally over email and phone. For further details on any case, you can contact us at apakris@gmail.com or you can directly contact the person in need.
