Swami Tejomayananda, disciple of Swami Chinmayananda and current President of Chinmaya Mission

Salutations at the holy feet of Pujya Swami Tejomayanandaji.

Swami Tejomayanandaji is one of the foremost Jnani-Bhaktas of modern times. He is a saint who spent all his life preaching the wisdom of eternal scriptures and inspiring thousands of people. As a perfect example of the metaphor of a tree laden with many fruits, Swamiji is extremely humble and down to earth, inspite of his wisdom, devotion and his position as the head of Chinmaya Mission.

Swami Tejomayanandaji was born as Sudhakar Kaitwade in Madhya Pradesh on 30th June1950. He pursued his studies in Physics at university where he came across the writings of Swami Vivekananda and was greatly inspired by them. At the young age of 20 he came in contact with Pujya Swami Chinmayanandaji and was was immediately inspired to follow him. He underwent the Vedanta course at Sandeepani Sadhanalaya in Mumbai and served as a Brahmachari for a few years and then was initiated into the order of Sannyasa. He was the Acharya of Sandeepani Sadhanalaya in Sidhbari and Mumbai centers as well as the center in USA. After the Mahasamadhi of Swami Chinmayananda he was made the head of Chinmaya Mission.

Swamiji has conducted over 300 Jnana Yagnas enlightening people with his soul-stirring discourses. He has perfect command over all the scriptures ranging from Ramayana, Bhagavata to the Upanishads. He has the uncanny ability to render complex philosophical truths into simple language. With his sense of humor and humble nature, he captures the hearts of devotees wherever he goes.

Swamiji is fluent in Hindi, English, Marathi and Sanskrit. He has written commentaries on many scriptural texts, translated several of Swami Chinmayananda’s works into Hindi and authored several works in Sanskrit like – Bhakti Sudha, Jnana Sara, Manah Sodhanam and Dhyana-Svarupam.

  1. He is also a wonderful singer and a lover of music. He has composed many wonderful bhajans and kirtans in Hindi and n Sanskrit.

  2. Hello can someone please let me now where I can obtain the song Bhagwan Meri Naiya sung by this Swamiji. Have been trying to look for this for many years!
